Thursday in Utah

Thursday.
I watched my cousin Lucy. She is such a funny girl, talks a ton. She is just a ball full of energy!
We ate Arby's for lunch, which happens to be my favorite fast food place. We colored pictures together and went to smith's to buy her a treat for behaving. :)

My husband Jeremy had been working and finally came into town.
He went golfing, because he is obsessed!
That night we went to dinner with Brooke, Vaughn & Emerson @ one of my all time favorite restaurants Tepanyaki's. The food was so good, and we really love hanging out with the Schoutens :)

Yet again I forgot to take a picture, but this is their cute lil family.

Wednesday in Utah

Wednesday.
Everyone had work off: Me ha, my mom, meg, erin. So we went to lunch at a pizza place down town. Landon & Nick joined us. We then walked around the gateway looking for mother's day gifts.

That night was a continued girls night out. I went with Meg & Jodie to meet a bunch of friends at the gateway.
After me landon, and meg went over to a friends house and watched nature videos.
After a long day I spent the night over at  their penthouse sweet.

Tuesday in Utah

Tuesday.
See if you can guess what I did by the pictures.
Thats right kids, Jaxon invited me to go on a field trip with him. So sweet of him to think of me.
It consisted of seeing Oceans the movie, at the gateway. Later we went to a theater and got a backstage pass. I loved the costume room, I would totally love to be somewhere like that designing costumes.

I also visited me grandparents, put in grades for my mom at knowlton, and attempted to learn how to crochet with Erin when she and Nick came over.
All and all it was a productive day.

Monday in Utah

Monday.
I bought way too many items at the craft store!
(pictures of things I create with them will come later)
I got to have lunch at cafe rio with my cousin brooke. I just love hanging out with her! We always have so much to talk about.
The rest of the afternoon we got to go shopping. I spent a little too much money, but Jer forgave me later :)
Landon was kind enough to document our trip :)

Sunday in Utah

Sunday.
Honestly nothing really happened sunday. I watched my grandma while my parents went to church, and then we just hung out with the fam and had dinner.
I did however put Atlas's hair in a pony tail, which was really exciting :)

My poor grandpa Ballam has basically lost all of his eye sight, which caused him to take a tumble and do this to his hand!

I felt so bad for the sweet guy, he had to get stitches any everything. :(

I love being able to hang out with family, it just warms my heart.

Saturday in Utah

Saturday.
It was a little rainy and cold but I actually enjoyed the weather change.
Early morning we went to Jaxon's soccer game. He is such the little athlete. He also is very creative, take for example this wallet he fashioned out of duct tape?
Then we went to all a dollar and the craft store and picked up a few cheap goodies.
We were watching my grandma Potter this weekend.
My grandpa has been dead for a while now, and she has lost most of her short term memory and gets confused often.  She does funny things like horde candy in her pockets, give strict fashion advice and sing the same songs over and OVER again. Mostly it's: "I looked out the window and what did I see? Popcorn popping on the apricot tree." (An old primary song.) It can get a little annoying but she is so sweet so you just have to laugh. Diesel loves her because she always sneaks him food even though we ask her not to. :)

So that afternoon I did something drastic!
I cut BANGS!
I am so glad I did because I love them.

That night most of the family got together for dinner at Pei Wei.
I got lucky enough to sit by this guy.

I just can't get over how cute my nephew Atlas is! I would steal him if that sort of thing was acceptable.

Let the blogging begin.

Right now I am at a hotel in mexico city.
Jer is asleep in the other bed. Yes they gave us a room with 2 twins?
I got to tag along on a business trip.
Well it worked out that my father in law brought my camera usb cord. Yay!
So I am going to cover my last week in Utah starting on friday.

Landon and Meghan were kind enough to pick me up at the airport and we meet my mom, dad, jaxon, jonny & sam at crown burger. I wasn't hungry but it grossed me out a little cause it reminded me of mexico. I just really don't like much about mexico besides the weather.

After (minus meg & landon) we went to the jazz game.
Amazing people watching place.
I felt like an old lady though because the whole game I had to plug my ears. It just seemed too loud, and I left the game with a headache.
My dad did buy me a frozen yogurt which made me super happy because I crave them tons in Mexico.
YUM!!!

Back from Utah!

I just recently got back from visiting my family and friends in utah for the last 10 days!
To prove it:
 I have new bangs :)
a cold sore  :(
a sweet painting of diesel from my sister in law :)
new crafting items :)
6 blisters on my toes from shopping with high heels on :(
brand new clothes :)
and last but not least tons of fun memories to hold on to if I get lonely back here in mexico!!
(Disclaimer- I did not get to see ALL the family & friends I wanted to while in Utah so to those people I am so sorry and hope to see you soon!)

Well I was going to tell you all about my trip by posting some of the million pictures I took... but after unpacking and searching thru all our stuff, my dad confirmed that I had left the camera cord that hooks up to the computer in utah.
So sad..
this kind of ruins my blogging plans..
so until I can get it back not much will happen here :(

But I do want to go here:
with the closest location to me being here:

I would love some company if anyone wants to come along!!??
If not I will have to drag Jeremy with me & I don't think he will appreciate that.

Wednesday WANTS!

It is a rather hot day here in mexico, so I couldn't stay outside too long without melting.  So I came up with my wednesday wish list:

This adorable measuring set from modcloth.
This cute spring top from anthropologie.
I so so want these shoes from SeyChelles.
These stunning beach towels by Amy butler.
And last but not least this dress mannequin from UO. I told Jeremy I wanted it for christmas because I probably can't afford it right now.
Well that's all for now folks.

The Fair... (Mexican Style)

This weekend Jeremy & I stayed in mexico, since I will be going home to Utah for a week next weekend.

Friday night we had a lazy night & and I loved it actually! It consisted of:
watching the jazz game.
hawaiian pizza. yum.
mini martinelli's. so cute.
otter pop's for dessert.
cuddling to sleep.

Saturday was a lot more eventful. We slept in till ten. (Well together anyways, I always wake up around ten.. lazy I know) Then we ventured off to the pool where Jer played water volleyball with the old folks and I listened to my ipod which I never seem to get to do anymore. Then golf. blah. We went to a new restaurant in town that has real food. Real good food for that matter, so I was so happy about that. All the time we ran into a bunch of people we knew so it was fun feeling social :) Then we went to Al's place and played some pool. Though I am not even remotely good at playing pool it keeps me entertained none the less.

So this is where are night gets good. Or should I say bad. I guess it depends on which way you look at it?

Jeremy & and I found ourselves at the FAIR.  Let's be honest, though they can be kinda fun and cute fairs are mostly ghetto.  Well so if you mexicanize the fair it's basically just down right scary. First we decided to go on a ride that I quite like at lagoon.
This is before the ride started... when we were still smiling..
So on this particular ride it goes around in a circular motion and depending on which way you lean your specific seat can spin around fast or slowly sway from side to side. When I have been on the one at lagoon it lasts maybe 45 seconds. Not at a mexican fair..

This is what I experienced for over 5 minutes. I said 5 MINUTES. At least that's what it felt like.. That is a long time to be spinning around and around and around. We were laughing and enjoying ourselves at first.. and then it just kept going and going. We looked at the carni working our ride and he just looked back at us like we were getting our money's worth.
It was awful and we felt awfully sick afterward.

Next we played some darts. It was basically a really expensive game, that was impossible to win, with the most ghetto prizes I have ever seen.

So though I begged Jeremy no more rides he insisted we couldn't waste our tickets. So after my stomach had semi settled we went on this.
Only to be put in a horribly sicker state.
You can imagine what this ride does which is basically sway forward and back until you make a full circle.  What I did not expect was for it to keep stopping at the top of its swinging motion with the bar smashing your stomach. Along with the fact that like the previous ride it went on and on. I was so close to vomiting it makes me queasy just thinking about it. We immediately went home after this and I laid in bed holding my stomach and groaning until I fell asleep.

So I learned my lesson. Though Fair's can look cute and fun, I think we should leave the rides to the little tikes. Adult stomachs are just not made for this.

Crafting Lately

Lately I have gotten back together with crafting, and have been pleased with the results. I found this retro colorful print & bought it not knowing what I would even use it for.  I decided to make a dress and just matched it with a black shirt. I loved how the top turned out! The skirt is a little uneven at the bottom, but I am a beginner what can you expect!
I also made this grey flower head band which I love! I think I am going to make one in every color. Even Jer was impressed. Since sometimes it's hard to take pictures of myself diesel usually is my model :) I also showcased my new purple tights!
So today is cold and windy outside which means I am stuck inside.  Sand and wind is basically the worst combination ever!  So I am going to make the best of it and finish up the project I have been working on to have something to match my lavender tights!
