Hudson is two months

And just like that Hudson is two months old!
His stats were:

Weight: 12 pounds 3 oz @ 44%
Height: 23.5 inches @ 70%
Head: 15.75in @ 74%
I know I'm his mom, but Hudson is such a handsome little guy! With all his hair, petite features, and long eye lashes he's just so suave looking :) He for sure has his dads chin, head shape, and eye lashes. He has the same nose as Kingsley which I am undecided where that comes from. Not sure I see any of myself in him yet except that we both have blue eyes.
At about a month and a half Hudson took a turn for the better! It was crazy, all the sudden he just stopped being so fussy & got better & better each day. Still not even sure what was causing him to be so unhappy, but we are stoked he has grown out of it. Don't get me wrong he still has an episode here or there but they only last about 15mins and then he always calms down. When he is awake he is such a happy baby. This is crazy for me to say, but he might be even more smiley than Kingsley was! He loves to be talked to. He will smile & almost laugh. He also makes the sweetest cooing sounds when he is trying to talk back. During the day he has got a ton easier, where I don't have to hold him all the time. He will sleep in his mamaroo or my bed, and can even fall asleep on his own some of the time. If he is tired he loves to sleep in his car seat. It is so nice because he will fall asleep so quickly and I can transfer the car seat anywhere and he will remain asleep. Kingsley would never do that, he would always wake up the second the car stopped. Hopefully he is a heavier sleeper. He still isn't awesome at night, but is slowly making progress. He does about a 4 hour stretch, 3 hours, and then another 3 hours which put us up for the day around 7:30. So its nice the he has cut out waking up 3 or 4 times and is down to just 2. The thing that frustrates me most is when he won't go back to sleep easily. I hate standing up and rocking him back to sleep just to put him down and have him wake back up. He doesn't do it all the time, but it makes it so hard when he does.
He continues to eat every 3 hours and spits up a lot. I can't make it thru a day without getting barf all over my clothes :( He eats super quickly, anywhere from 5-10 minutes which is great. I am concerned however that he won't take a bottle. I was trying to be so diligent this time around with my milk supply and nursing that I haven't really been offering him bottles.. Hopefully I can get him to start taking them so I could leave him for more than 3 hours at a time. This little man is so strong and wiggly. He holds his head up so well, but moves around so much that I call him my little bobble head. I have to be super cautious while holding him or he will try to jump out of my hands! He loves to do tummy time and stand on his legs. He enjoys sucking on his fist as well as a binkie.
I could kiss his sweet cheeks all day long. Love him to death!

Kingsley's 18 months

Kingsley is such a ray of sunshine. He is so fun to be around. We just love and enjoy him so much! We took him to his 18 month check ups, and these were his stats:
Head: 49 cm @ 89%
Weight: 24 pounds @ 53%
Length: 32.5 inches @ 54%

So he is basically average with a giant head, which was no surprise. The head he inherited from the Kemps :). He has the most beautiful big eyes and eyelashes from who knows where. He has my gigantic cheeks and possibly Jeremy's nose, but that's all we know for sure.
Kingsley's is such an easy kid. He sleeps from 8pm to 8am and is down to one nap around noon which lasts about 2-3 hours. He is a pretty good eater and is getting more independent eating with utensils and what not, although it is a huge mess. He is just like his father and loves sweets and sugars. He would eat cookies all day long if he could :)
He still likes to drink a bottle morning and night, I have given up on trying to wean him and figure he will get sick of them eventually.
Kingsley is such a little chatterbox. He talks non stop all day, and copies everything we say. He can't say his L's, it is sort of adorable. So he calls his uncle Landon "Shannon" and my personal favorite when he says "shove you" Which means love you :) He is so smart, but sometimes can be a little annoying repeating everything a million times; especially if we don't answer him right away. Since it is Christmas he likes to talk about Santa, presents, and baby Jesus :)
He loves to listen to music, sing and dance. Lately he has been requesting dance parties at night. Kingsley is super into watching cartoons right now. I never wanted him to be addicted to watching tv, but it is super convenient with winter & a new baby. His favorites are bubble guppies, paw patrol, and yo gabba gabba.  (The last one is so weird) He loves to play outside so it's nice to distract him and cuddle him for 5 minutes since he never sits still otherwise.
Kingsley loves playing with any and all types of balls as well as making messes. Usually getting out whatever it is that I just put away. My favorite is when he pulls off all the toilet paper.. haha not! He is pretty good however at helping clean up after he is done playing if we sing the clean up song. Kingsley is such a sweet and polite boy. He is always saying please and thank you to me :) He also says sorry when he hurts Hudson or knocks something over. My personal favorite is when he says bless you after I sneeze. I hope he is always this well mannered! Don't get me wrong he cries occasionally & can scream if he is frustrated but for the most part he is a happy little guy.
Kingsley still loves all animals. Not in real life, but he loves to play with animal toys, make animal sounds, a watch animal videos. Hopefully one day he will enjoy them.
Kingsley is on the verge of being ready to potty train. He almost always tells us when he is wet or poopy. We have even put him on the toilet a couple times and he loves to wipe and flush. It will be so nice to not have two kids in diapers. He wears a size 4 diapers. He wears size 18-24 month clothing and size 5 shoes. Little guy is definitely growing! Side note Kingsley has the stinkiest feet there is.

Kingsley is a really social little guy and loves to visit his grandma & grandpa's. He sometimes doesn't even want to go home with us after visiting.
Kingsley is such a good big brother. He loves to give Hudson hugs and kisses and for the most part is really soft with him. He is always concerned when Hudson is crying. He looks at me with a worried face and says "baby sad?" I am really so lucky he deals with Hudson taking a lot of my time so well. It's like he totally understands that I need to give Hudson attention, and he let's me and is so sweet. If only I could teach him to be "quiet" while the baby is sleeping. I am so lucky to have this little buddy in my life. He has such a fun personality and it is so fun to watch him learn and grow.

Thanksgiving + Christmas tree

It was the Kemps turn for Thanksgiving this year, and since Hudson is too young to travel we decided to have it at home this year. I have to say it was perfect and cozy in our new house!
Jeremy had the honor of carving the turkey.
Mostly due to Sandy, we had the most delicious array of food, including: Turkey, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Corn, Rolls, Sweet Potatoes, Sparkling Cider, and Pumpkin & Banana Pie! My mouth is watering looking at these pictures.
And I was so excited to FINALLY use my Kate Spade China that we received when we were married.
 Doesn't it look scrumptious?
I have so much to be thankful for. Mostly these two beautiful healthy boys!
Aren't they adorable!?
I just adore these two!
Shortly after Thanksgiving we went to hunt for a Christmas tree.
 Hudson really enjoyed it ;)
I had a little photoshoot with Kingsley since he was looking so adorable.
When I told him to smile.. ha
As we were picking trees this year we made a HUGE mistake! We saw a beautiful 10ft tree & thought it would look perfect in our living room with the high ceilings. We asked them for a similar one we could fit thru the door so they loaded up a tied up one.
Well when the boys cut off the ties we realized we had not only a 12ft tree instead of a 10ft, but the fattest hugest tree you have ever seen! They could hardly keep is upright it was so heavy.

The stand wouldn't keep it up so they had to lean it against the wall. I had some serious anxiety how we were gonna make it work, or be able to take it back. I was really worried it would tip over on one of my kids!
Luckily Jeremy had some help the next day as they sawed off some of the bottom and got a bigger stand to get it up. The pictures don't do it justice, but you can see below Jeremy had to use a latter to put the star on!
Our decorations aren't quite big enough, but it is a beautiful tree and definitely makes our house look christmasy!

Hudson is One Month!

This little monkey of mine is growing like crazy fast! They typically don't have babies in for well check appointments until they are two months, but I had his weight checked when we were at Kingsley's 18 month check up and little Dude is a hefer! He already weighs 12 pounds. He eats every 3 hours like clockwork for about 8-10 minutes. It's nice he eats so quickly although I hope he starts being able to go longer in between feedings. Especially at night. Kingsley always slept well at nights, where Hudson is on the same 3 hour cycle day and night. It makes me nervous of how I will sleep train him in the future since it doesn't seem natural to him. I just switched Hudson over to size 2 diapers to avoid his constant blow outs. His 0-3 month clothes are already pretty snug, so he can already wear some 3-6 month clothes!
Hudson is such a strong little guy. I am amazed how old he seems since he is physically so far ahead of where Kingsley was at one month. He can hold up his head super well which makes holding him easier. He loves to be held so he can stand on his legs & bounce up and down. He surprisingly doesn't mind tummy time, probably because he holds his head up on his own. The crazy thing is he already rolls over almost every time I put him on his stomach. He also scoots with his legs. Baby boy is so strong.
Unfortunately Hudson is a pretty fussy baby. We are not sure if he has acid reflex or colic, but he is often unhappy. He spits up often, has gas, and just always seems to be uncomfortable poor guy. He is especially awful at nights, which is really hard since that's obviously when I am the most tired. SO frustrating dealing with a screaming baby. It is so difficult for me to get anything done because he always wants to be held or he can't sleep. I feel so sad for him. I am so lucky that Kingsley is so easy and accommodating. He loves his baby brother, and must know that I can only deal with one demanding kid. And although I hate to say it, it does help that Kingsley is into cartoons right now.
I keep praying that although I am having a really hard time dealing with Hudson, I can remember how quickly it goes by. To enjoy the good moments, and realize he won't be a fussy baby for long. I am so blessed to have two healthy boys. I just got to make it thru the next couple months and hope Hudson starts sleeping better at night and getting less fussy.
