Holiday Spirit

I can't believe the holidays are already here! I am so excited! (Especially for christmas)
We had a new arrival to the Potter clan, he came so quickly my mom & I even missed his arrival...
Introducing Everton Waite Potter.
He is the 5th grandson for my parents. Apparently boys are the trend. He is adorable & tiny. Can't wait till Kingsley, Cosby and Everton can all play when they're older.
This year we had Thanksgiving with the whole Potter side. Our extended family is so huge that we have to hold it at the church. (My dad has ten brothers & sisters!) Kingsley very much enjoyed his first Thanksgiving :)
Spending time with Grandma & Grandpa :)
The food was delicious of course!
I am SOOOOOOO  thankful for this little man and his constant smile. Just brightens my life everyday!
6 months is such a fun age!
Over the weekend I thought it would be fun for Kingsey to meet Santa. (I had to drag Jeremy since apparently going to the mall is the worst thing ever?)
I thought  he might be scared, but he really just wanted to pull Santa's beard :)
He even got a free book :) They told us to "refrain" from taking pictures.. but we just couldn't! (They wanted to charge you $25 for a picture, such a rip off!) Jeremy hid & took some from a far.
Hawkes also enjoyed meeting Santa :)
Kingsley has been a really good boy this year, so I'm sure he will get lots of presents :)
He also meet Santa again at my parents ward Christmas party.
So many firsts this year as we went to pick out our own real tree. I would love to cut my own down one year, especially when King is old enough to come along.
I love the deer in the headlights look they both have :)
Jeremy picked the tallest/fattest tree there. Which at the time seemed like a good idea since our living room is pretty spacious with high ceilings.. but the amount of lights and decorations  to decorate the thing has become a challenge.
Love this bundled guy :)

Kingsley is 6 months!

Is it really true?? How can my baby be at his half birthday already!! This is bananas. Is it weird to say that 5 to 6 months has been my favorite? I mean King is always a gem, but he has just been so fun lately, I can't get enough of him!
My favorite part of doing these monthly updates it to look at how much he has changed from one month to six months.
And now for Jeremy's favorite part, his stats:

53% for height at 26.5 inches
71% head circumference at 43 cm
30% for weight at 16.5 pounds

So basically he is not so tall anymore, still a little small for weight with that head creeping back up to huge just like I feared.. I think his head really throws people off and gives the optical illusion that he is way bigger than he really is.
Kingleys schedule right now is bedtime at 8pm and he sleeps in his crib until around 7:00-7:30am. I'm positive he would sleep till 8am if Jeremy didn't make such a loud ruckus every morning! He takes about 3 naps a day from anywhere of 45 min to 2 hours. (Usually the lesser) He does about 5 bottles of formula a day with 6 - 8oz. I nurse him once in the morning and twice during the day, but he doesn't really get much breast milk I'm sure. I am just trying to at least continue thru the winter to help keep him from getting sick.
We have just recently started giving K baby food, though he doesn't care much for it yet. The concept doesn't really appeal to him. He doesn't even try to suck it in or spit it out, he basically just lets it drip back out of his mouth with his slobber :)

Now for the fun part. Kingsleys personality just gets more and more fun & silly. He just is so happy & smiley. He still loves to babble and his first word was definitely 'HI' as that's what we say to him most often. He now also says dadada all the time, (not that I think he is referring to Jeremy at all) He loves to laugh when you blow on his belly or say boo loud to him. He especially laughs hard at his cousin Hawkes when he growls at him :).
Kingsley rolls over the second you set him down and is scooting and rolling all over the place. Jeremy is trying to make him crawl, but I think he has a little ways to go. He is getting very good at sitting up though I have to supervise him still. Kinglsey has a long stomach like mine which is probably gonna cause us some trouble later on. Currently he wears 6-12 tops and still 0-3 or 3-6 bottoms. Rompers are a toss up. I still prefer girl jeans because the boy ones still tend to look gangster on him because they are so wide. We are just switching him from size 2 to 3 diapers.
Don't you just want to eat those chunky legs??
His hair is long but thin, just like his mine I guess. It is turning a strawberry blonde as well. He has an especially long alfalfa hair in the back that we are not quite sure what to do with.
Kingsley loves to play in his little bouncer & hold and suck on toys. He is mesmerized by lights, and always wants to be chatting with you. He still really doesn't cry he just whines & does a loud scream here and there if you really get him mad :) He really loves to watch Diesel & tries to rip his hair out if I let him close enough.
Love this little bug too much!!

Diesel in Bloom shop opened!

Exciting news! After much hard work, many trips to the fabric store, and a constant nagging husband I finally opened up shop!
I decided to go with big cartel, as it worked best for my needs. Here Kingsley is modeling a few of my favorites :)
The New Years Eve is probably my favorite with the gold trim!
And here is baby E in the Gold Dot Cardigan. (isn't she precious??)
I tried to make a variety of choices:
Make sure to check dieselinbloom shop on black friday as I will be adding Zig Zag Cardigan above & other surprises :)
Let the christmas shopping begin! I would love to hear which Cardigan is your favorite?
